Dare to Dream Rural Health District Mentor Application

Rhode Island public school special educators need practical tools to strengthen curriculum, skill-building, and post-secondary readiness for students with IEPs or 504 plans. The Dare to Dream Rural Health Initiative equips rural educators and community partners with monthly, transition-focused curriculum and activities that build students' competencies, life skills, self-advocacy, and readiness for adulthood, employment, education, health care, and community life.

The Dare to Dream Rural Health District Mentor will serve as a hands-on implementation partner for assigned districts and community organizations, helping ensure program activities are delivered consistently, with quality, and in response to local needs. Each Mentor will support 4–5 targeted rural Rhode Island schools by coaching educators, troubleshooting implementation barriers, strengthening engagement, reinforcing program expectations, and connecting schools to practical resources that support successful delivery.

This is an independent contractor position requiring approximately 15–20 hours per week from September through June. Total compensation for the contract term is $25,000.
